INVINCIBLE BOAT
What: a sponsored project which will offer several thousand dollars in tuition assistance awards in a non-competitive environment. Awards will be based on individual contributions to the overall Team Challenge and are subject to the granting party’s consideration. The project will speak to both Transportation and Industrial Design disciplines and will focus on all aspects of the real world design process.
Invincible Boat Company is a premium high-performance saltwater fishing boat brand. It is headquartered in Opa Locka, FL with over 260 employees. Invincible’s current product portfolio includes nine semi-custom models ranging from 33’ to 45’ in both mono hull and catamaran designs.
The challenge will be “To address the challenges of the mobility compromised to fully enjoy the exhilarating experience of salt water fishing”, as well as broadening the brands high end appeal by providing design and technologically inspired support capabilities and functions.

I have been studying transportation design for 3 years now. A subject matter of never ending complexity which is changing more rapidly now than ever. It has been a wonderful challenge working on multiple projects ranging from a prosthetic leg to a 50’ fishing catamaran. Lawrence Tech primarily encourages self guidance, spending a major percentage of time working in the studio. One must be able to teach themselves to excel in this field.
