PinwheelKerfing
This project explores the process of wood kerfing alongside steam bending. It also explores tongue and groove joining with an oculus design to test tensile strength in an organic state of wood-framed structural supporting systems. Plywood is generally used as a sheathing material on top of the already built wood-framed structure. This project questions what happens if the roles are reversed, and how we would be able to analyze kerfing without physical testing.
This project challenges roles in traditional construction to allow more flexibility in building materials and explores new opportunities in strength and flexibility. The main goal is a free-standing structure acting against torsion & bending forces.

Wissam Khodeir
Architecture student at Lawrence Technological University (LTU).
Hospitality design & modern residentials design my favorite to pursue as an architect.
Fascinated by Gothic & Islamic Architecture and their fine details.
Favorite architecture related quote :
“If You Want an Easy Life, Don't Be an Architect” Zaha Hadid
This quote is my favorite because it reminds me choosing architecture as a career is something unique and should be proud of; not every person can succeed, it needs a person with patience and passion. Patience before passion for the reason that failures will be more than success.
Moussa Aoun
Architecture student at Lawrence Technological University. I am extremely driven by my passion for architecture and I hope to pursue further studies that are related to digital fabrication, computation and artificial intelligence, and to see how that can help me as an architect to explore and expand my boundaries. Another field of interest is product design.
James Brosius
Professional Tutor in Architecture at Henry Ford College and undergraduate Architecture student at Lawrence Technological University. Passion for taking the norm and twisting something new out of it while still being fairly feasible and viable. Immense desire to own a firm focusing on urban design and planning alongside commercial architecture. “Form over function, or function over form,” is the real question here about whichever one that wants to follow in the first place.
