Effective design can help to organize vast assortments of information and make it easily understood by mass audiences. OP is an app that makes medical information more accessible, empowers its audience, and assists in simplifying processes related to medical care. Patients depend on their doctors to understand what is happening with their bodies and help them feel better. What happens if your doctor is not helping you or just does not understand your concerns?
OP has combined the best features of existing resources while incorporating new tools to provide helpful advice throughout any medical journey. Users are able to search for information on the human body, medicines, symptoms, conditions, and diagnoses. They can share personal experiences on an open forum and discuss helpful methods to manage their health. Additionally, users can learn how to best communicate with their doctor, how to advocate for themselves in the doctor’s office, and when to get a second opinion. Finally, OP helps users find a doctor based on recommendations and reviews from other patients.
OP hopes to eliminate some of the frustration and jumping around patients' experiences while navigating the medical world. It is a “one stop shop” leveraging inclusive language and intuitive navigation while being a reliable source.
