WyZero
Grace-Elyse Pelzer, Hannah Stockel, Friday Taylor, Lily Garcia, and Aidan Briggs

WyZero is a hybrid, multi-purpose sustainability hub designed to serve Wyoming communities through accessible, circular economy solutions. Developed by students at Lawrence Technological University, the project reimagines how rural residents access food, manage waste, and engage in environmental education.
Combining an eco-conscious grocery store, CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) hub, recycling center, and zero-waste learning space, WyZero empowers communities to shop sustainably, support local producers, and dispose of waste responsibly. From bulk buying and composting to educational workshops and CSA partnerships, every element is designed to reduce environmental impact while fostering local resilience.
The initiative addresses key regional challenges, including food insecurity, long-distance supply chains, and limited recycling infrastructure. WyZero’s vision is a future where every household in Wyoming has access to fresh, local food and zero-waste solutions—building a stronger, more sustainable community from the ground up.
