This two-story, 80,925 SF recreational facility in Sault Ste. Marie combines wellness, sustainability, and accessibility. It features a gym, natatorium, climbing wall, fitness spaces, and classrooms—all within a 40-foot height limit. Designed with an irregular layout, it integrates daylighting, universal access, and a photovoltaic array to target LEED certification. A garden courtyard and permeable site design enhance its connection to the community.become more than seating; they are thresholds — waiting spaces between past and present, nature and memory. Through this process, I selected a final image that best carried the mood of pause, breath, and gentle myth.
