Sex work is a choice, or is it? Change begins with awareness of a problem. Awareness requires attention, empathy and understanding of other people, their struggles, and the underlying inequities and the influences that perpetuate the cycle. The neoliberal narrative drivers of individualism and othering are directly connected to the ideological outcomes of
consumerism and stereotyping; all of which are foundational to perpetuate the belief that sex work is a choice for everyone and in direct opposition of empathy and
respect of other people.
